Hello folks! Welcome to a very special 4 Question survey with wrestling star LuFisto, also known as "The First Lady of Hardcore". She's wrestled all over Japan, Canada, and the United States. She's held many championships, and has achieved a massive cult following due in part to her participation in death defying hardcore matches.
She has also been a fighter for gender equality. In 2002, her complaint to the Ontario Human Rights Commission was instrumental in getting the Ontario Athletic Commission to drop a regulation banning men from wrestling women.
LuFisto is not only tough, but classy enough to take a little time from her busy schedule to participate in this ruthlessly violent and sexy edition of the 4 Question Survey.
1. What was favorite match?
I have many favorite matches. Any match that pushed my limits to the max could be mentioned: VS Cheerleader Melissa, Wesna, Sami Challihan, Mercedez Martinez, Sabian, Awesome Kong...
2. Who would you wrestle in your dream match if it could be against anyone from any time?
My dream would have been to wrestle Chris Benoit but we all know what happened. Besides him, I would say Bull Nakano, Owen Hart and Akira Okuto.
3. Wrestling's a tough sport! What's the worst injury you've ever seen/sustained?
I had many but my two worst were the destruction of all the ligaments of my right knee and my three herniated disks.
4. Have you seen the movie The Wrestler, and if so, what did you think? In your opinion, was it a reasonably accurate portrayal of what's it like to be a wrestler?
Oh yeah. That was very accurate of some people I know and I could see myself in the character as well.... The injuries, being alone most of the time because you never had enough time to work on relationships... Darren Aronofsky did a fantastix job at researching the lives of pro wrestlers... And Mickey Rourke was just awesome.

Female Japanese star Ayako Hamada announced at a Wednesday morning press conference that the 4/19 Ito Dojo show will be her final match in Japan and she has signed with TNA. Hamade is the daughter of the legendary Gran Hamada from Michinoku Pro Wrestling in Japan. American fans may remember him from his appearances with Michinoku for the original ECW.
According to my sources, many fans who ordered Wrestlemania 25 on pay-per-view (which this year cost a whopping 55 dollars) were upset that the World Tag Team Title Unification match featuring John Morrison & Mike Mizanin vs. The Colons was bumped from the show in favor of a set from Kid Rock that ran upwards of ten minutes. Additionally, the Ms. Wrestlemania Battle Royal featured returning stars from the past such as Molly Holly and Victoria who were not introduced prior to the match, presumably due to time constraints. The main event match between Randy Orton and Triple H also seemed oddly short and anticlimactic.
One fan commented "Does WWE think Kid Rock is Elvis or something? He was somewhat popular ten years ago". Another said "I went into the other room and made burgers during that, really didn't care for it. And I LIKE Kid Rock".
"The Birdman" Koko B. Ware is scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame tonight by Honky Tonk Man, who has also promised to confront Ric Flair and "whip his ass". Koko was known for super high dropkicks and skull-crushing Ghostbuster finisher, but mostly he's known as the guy who came to the ring with a parrot, Frankie. Sadly, Frankie died in a house fire a few years back. According to my sources, firefighters mistook Frankie's cries for help for those of a young child and desperately searched the house for one. Koko still makes occasional indie wrestling and TV appearances with Frankie Jr.

The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony will air Saturday, April 4th at 10PM EST/9PM CT on USA Network. Other inductees include "Cowboy" Bill Watts, The Funk Brothers, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Rockin' Ronny Weiser started Rollin' Rock magazine in 1970 to promote what he calls the American Way of Life, which includes celebrating American music and standing against the oppressive forces of extremism, whether it be fascism, communism, or radical Islam.
The first Rollin Rock recordings featured rockabilly legend Ray Campi & the Rockabilly Rebels and was probably the first rock 'n' roll record since the 1950s to use a standup bass. In 1977, Campi, along with Mac Curtis, did a tour of England called The Rollin' Rock Tour which helped jumpstart the rockabilly revival in Europe which continues to thrive.
Rollin' Rock became so popular in Finland that records by artists like Campi, Curtis, Johnny Legend, Jimmie Lee Maslon, and Jackie Lee Cochran crossed over to the pop charts and appeared alongside stars of the day like ABBA and Donna Summer.
These days, Ronny runs a meet & greet event at his house, Rancho Ronny, which always takes place the day before the popular annual rockabilly festival Viva Las Vegas.
1. If you had to pick just one, who was the best rockabilly group you ever saw live?
If we are referring to modern bands it would have to be Randy & The Dragstrip Trio from Australia.
2. In your opinion, what are a few of the best songs on Rollin' Rock records that would be a good introduction to the Rollin' Rock sound?
Man, that's a tough one:
How about "Rockin' At The Ritz" and "Sweet Woman Blues" by Ray Campi, "That Certain Female" by Charlie Feathers, "Rockabilly Daddy" and "Thanks A Lot", by Alvis Wayne", "I Hate The Moon" by Mack Stevens, "Salacious Rockabilly Cat" by Jimmie Lee Maslon, "The Rose Of Love" by Gene Vincent, and a few hundred more!
3. In the past, you were harassed by commies and nazis for your love of American music. Do you think that type of thing still goes on today? Communists and Nazis (National Socialists) are still around today, and Socialism is getting stronger and more oppressive across the world. Higher taxes, endless contradictory regulations, punishing the creative and entrepreneurial people seems to have become the norm.
And of course the Jihadists are dedicated to exterminate anybody who disagrees.
I have seldom been more pessimistic about the future of America and the world.
4. "That Certain Female" by Charlie Feathers was included in the movie Kill Bill. Did you ever imagine hearing Rollin' Rock music in a major motion picture? It was amazing to hear a Rollin' Rock song in a hit movie. But Quentin Tarantino is a big fan of Rollin' Rock Records, and hopefully will use more of my songs in future flicks.
BONUS QUESTION: What's next for Rockin' Ronny? basically to continue to promote Americanism, that is Real Rock'n'Roll, Rockabilly, Rhythm & Blues, Western Bop,etc., and all that is fun and exciting about American Culture and the American Way Of Life.
Living the American Dream (with Rollin' Rock) has been an amazing and thrilling experience for which I will be eternally grateful.
This is the first in what I hope to make a regular feature on this blog. I'm calling it the 4 Question Survey. It's a short, basic interview consisting of four questions and one bonus question.
This debut installment features America's most active music fan, Beatle Bob. He's known for his distinct style of dancing and going to at least one show every night of the week. He is the subject of an upcoming documentary film titled "Superfan: The Life, and Legend of Beatle Bob".
1. You're known for having been to a lot of shows. Do you have a rough guess how many?
Last time I missed show was Dec. 24th, 1996. My concert streak started on Dec. 25, 1996, with many a double-header concerts atended on a single day.
2. If you had to pick, what's the greatest show you've ever seen?

3. Is there anyone you didn't get to see that you would've really liked to?
Buddy Holly.
4. Can you tell us about anyone you've seen perform who was really great but might not be very well known?

Legless, armless MMA fighter? Who’s going to stop him?

Kyle Maynard's story is one of the incredible athletic achievements in American history. The 23-year-old overcame amazing challenges and got national recognition for wrestling in high school in spite of the fact that he has no legs and his arms stop above the elbow. Maynard is a congenital amputee. His father pushed him to play sports as a young child and try wrestling once he got to junior high school. He was 0-35 his first season and wanted to quit but his family refused to allow him to do so. Maynard found a workout routine to build the strength in his torso. In his senior year, he went 35-16 and wasn't pinned one time the entire season.
He received an ESPY, speaks publicly, wrote a book and has a documentary on the way. It seems like there's nothing this amazing kid can't achieve. Well, that's not entirely true.
Maynard now wants to fight mixed martial arts and after being denied a license by several states, he's been cleared for an amateur fight in Alabama on April 25th. If it's just an exhibition limited to grappling during this MMA fight, fine. Maynard has some sponsors and it's a nice way to get his story out to more people. But if this is a real MMA fight with kicking, punching, knees, elbows and submissions in play, what exactly is Alabama thinking?
Who is the poor guy who has to fight Maynard in this no-win situation? Would you want to witness Maynard, who can't possibly defend himself from strikes, get kicked in the face 20 times before the fight has to be stopped? How would you feel watching Maynard get choked out? Frankly, without being able to kick and punch, is it really a mixed martial arts fight? No one wants deny opportunity to anyone who is challenged but this can't possibly be good for the sport and it certainly isn't safe for Maynard.
UPDATE: Regular MMA rules are skewed from the get-go if this fight comes off. In the United States, you can't kick a downed opponent. Since Maynard sits on his rear-end, he's technically a downed opponent but that doesn't mean knees to the body, punches and elbows would be out of the mix.

The Honky Tonk Man has released a statement on his website, honkytonkman.net, promising to confront "Nature Boy" Ric Flair over statements Flair made in his book, To Be The Man.
"For the things he said about me in his book, I will finally get a chance to confront him in Conn. this coming Friday night. If he dodges me, I will confront him on Sunday night in Mass. If he dodges me again, I will confront him at HOF, and if he skates on me there I will catch him at Mania. I want to know why he says I would be nothing without a Hogan rub when I spent 12 years working main events before I went to WWE with out a Hogan rub and Flair knows that." - honkytonkman.net
Flair basically said in his book that Honky Tonk Man, pictured here with a couple of porn stars, sucked as a wrestler and was only successful in wrestling because he was friends with Hulk Hogan. My question is, if Hulk Hogan and Honky Tonk Man were friends, why did they fight at Saturday Night's Main Event back in the 80s? I'd love to hear what Ric Flair has to say about that.
He's always been outspoken, and never been afraid to speak out. He's also often been known to "tell it like it is". With no end to war or prohibition in sight, I'm starting to wish Ventura would've run for President. I was excited for Barack Obama's election, and it was a major feelgood moment, but I'm starting to think that when it's all said and done he's just gonna be a regular Democrat. I dare you to try to find a well known American politician who has been more straightforward with the public than Ventura. He's told the truth about everything from 9/11, to the gay marriage issue, to the fact that the no good Hulk Hogan had to cheat to win the World Heavyweight Championship from the Iron Sheik. Sorry kids!
I love this song. I wrote these guys a fan letter a while back and one of them wrote back with a story about how they got picked on in high school by all the mohawk punks for having crew cuts.
I often get asked about the Chirps and if we can do shows and stuff. The short answer is No. When I moved back to Michigan last October I talked to Jason Metcalf on the phone a few times and I recorded some solo stuff with Ryan Bliton, and the subject of a reunion was brought up by everyone. I spoke to Sam Huckleberry Johnson on the phone around the same time and he was also interested in playing. Jason ended up getting abducted by aliens or something, so I moved to Florida and started doing music on my own. Ryan records in his basement studio in Lansing and helps run a small record label, Lopsprout. Sam plays bass with Wayne Hancock now and is usually on the road, but he lives in Texas. As for other members, Lars joined the Coast Guard and still lives somewhere in Michigan, and last I knew Johnny was playing sax for a reggae band.
- I'm rooting for "The Gold Standard" Shelton Benjamin to win at Wrestlemania. He's a black dude with bleached blonde hair and he's a legit Southern rassler. He's like Little Richard, Dennis Rodman, and Abraham Lincoln all rolled into one.
- I've been listening to a lot of Bobby Vee lately and I got to wondering if he's still around and what he's up to. Turns out he's doing some shows in Saskatchewan, which is where some of my ancestors are from. Eerie huh? Also, Bobby Vee is from Fargo, North Dakota.
- In 1977 a movie came out called "Kingdom of the Spiders". It starred William Shatner and featured original music by Dorsey Burnette from the Rock 'n' Roll Trio.
- On April 19th I'm playing at an event called Bazaaro. It's like a swap meet, yard sale, bake sale, and show all at the same time. It's at a place called the Firefly in Miami, Florida, which as I understand it is like a co-op house where they fix bicycles. I will be playing some brand new songs, including my first Spanish language song, and a say-no-to-drugs tango.
